Screening Clinic
The Screening Clinic is designed to give families a clear starting point and provides families with insight into their child’s development, learning, and emotional well-being. It helps identify a child's strengths and areas that may benefit form additional support, and offers recommendations for services or next steps.
Appointments are 1.5 hours and offered one Sunday each month.
Who is the clinic for?
The clinic is best suited for families who are noticing challenges with behavior, attention, social skills, emotions, or learning, and want professional guidance on whether further testing is needed.
Children (ages 3+) and Adolescents
What happens at the appointment?
Parents complete structured questionnaires ahead of time.
Parents participate in a brief intake discussion.
Your child participates in a 30-minute observation/clinical interview.
Families receive same-day feedback and recommendations for services and supports. Guidance is also provided on whether a full evaluation would be beneficial.
What kinds of questions can be answered at the appointment?
Are my child’s behaviors typical for their age?
Does my child need further evaluation for ADHD, ASD, learning issues, or emotional concerns?
How can I support my child’s social, emotional, or academic development?
What types of services might be helpful right now?
What is not covered in the screening?
This is not a full psychological or neuropsychological evaluation. The screening provides a snapshot and recommendations, but it does not yield a report, diagnoses, testing scores, or accommodations letters for schools.
